20th Century Fox Studio Lot

20th Century Fox Studios opened in West Los Angeles in 1928 by William Fox of Fox film Corporation. He bought the rights to Movietone sound system and built Fox Movietone City on the Lot. Later in 1932, Twentieth Century Pictures was created and in 1935 merged with Fox to create The Twentieth Century- Fox Film Corporation.

Images here include the original Executive Building #1, which is haunted - a wicked story really… The original 1929 powerhouse, Simpsons Writers Room, Matt Groening’s office, Building 69 - which use to be Shirley Temple’s personal bungalow, the famous Bldg. 80 - The Old Writer’s Building, and a miniature replica bungalow for the feral lot cats that keep the rodents in-check around the whole studio lot!
